Designed in partnership with Chicago and Columbus, IN-based furniture designer Jonathan Nesci, Model 8 is the newest line of occasional tables brought to you by commercial furniture manufacturer Versteel.
In a first-time collaboration, Versteel and Nesci created a line of minimalist occasional tables that challenge conventional furniture design. The geometric composition and form of Model 8 elevates traditional commercial furniture design by featuring unique, octagonal legs, which are accented beautifully with a contrasting steel inlay. The extruded aluminum is offered in five micro-texture colors as well as Versteel’s standard powder coat offering.
“At Versteel we pride ourselves on thoughtfully crafting the unexpected,” said Versteel President Scott Schwinghammer. “Our partnership with Jonathan was another opportunity for us to exhibit our innovative design approach while creating unique and functional pieces for our customer base.”
The line includes tables in square, round or rectangular shapes with a variety of widths and heights. Available with a choice of leg colors, Model 8 offers a variety of solutions for different environments and is customizable to address the needs of any space.
“I am proud to be partnering with Versteel on Model 8,” said Jonathan Nesci. “Adaptable, comprehensive design systems have been a continual theme in my practice and are at the core of Versteel’s ethos. This shared identity, in both ideology and geography, has brought us here. It’s very exciting and satisfying for me that my first commercially produced line was made possible by this talented group so close to home.”
Model 8 tables are available at furniture dealerships across the U.S.
